Venture Construction Group of Florida Sponsors Florida Association of Public Insurance Adjusters Annual Conference

Commercial restoration company leads the way in property owner advocacy

ORLANDO, Fla. — Venture Construction Group of Florida (VCGFL) sponsored the Florida Association of Public Insurance Adjustors (FAPIA) 2018 Fall Conference at the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort on October 27- 29. VCGFL sponsored the Scary Insurance Claims Cocktail Party on Oct. 27 and the Public Adjuster’s Sunday Brunch on Oct. 28.  VCGFL exhibited and held meetings with industry leaders throughout the event, and also sponsored a DJI Spark drone contest.

“Insurance advocacy for policy holders is what FAPIA does and they’re great at it! We had a wonderful time and we look forward to continuing our support of this critical organization,” says Stephen Shanton, president of Venture Construction Group of Florida.

The conference featured breakout sessions, networking events, roundtable panel discussions, exhibitors, and a forum for construction and restoration professionals to connect with attorneys and public adjusters and share resources on the latest issues and trends affecting the insurance restoration industry.

The conference kicked off with a welcome address by FAPIA president, Jimmy Farach. Breakout sessions included large loss claims, flood claims, construction, drone technology, insurance company practices, Hurricane Michael causation issues and Florida policy law, and a public adjuster roundtable discussion.

Known as the “gold standard” of state public adjuster associations, FAPIA launched 25 years ago in Miami in the wake of Hurricane Andrew. FAPIA has grown from a small group of dedicated insurance professionals to the largest state trade association for public adjusters in the nation with nearly 400 members. FAPIA’s goal is to educate the Florida legislature on major issues affecting the insurance restoration profession and to help deter regulation that hurts policyholders and the profession.

“It was great to connect with so many amazing industry professionals who are also leading the way in property owner advocacy. ‘It takes a village’, and FAPIA is definitely the village. We learn so much at every conference,” says John Carr, managing director, Venture Construction Group of Florida.
