Local Construction Company Sponsors Treasure Coast Builders Association Fishing Tournament

STUART, Fla. Venture Construction Group of Florida (VCGFL) was a Diamond Sponsor at the 36th Annual Treasure Coast Builders Association (TCBA) Fishing Tournament held on May 27-28 at the Pirates Cove Resort and Marina. The tournament included an offshore/inshore fishing tournament with prizes, food, drinks, vendors, live and silent auctions. Partial tournament proceeds benefit the TCBA Charitable Fund, which provides scholarships for local students for college and technical training programs in the construction industry.

“The 36th Annual TCBA Fishing Tournament was a great success this year, with a special thank you to all of our sponsors, donors, and supporters. We had a wonderful turnout this past Memorial Day weekend with over 100 boats, and raised a great deal of money for our programs supporting the local construction industry and skilled trades. We hope everyone enjoyed the weekend, and look forward to having everyone back again next year for another fun-filled fishing weekend,” said Kelly Johnson, Vice President of the Treasure Coast Builders Association.

As a construction industry association, TCBA’s mission is dedicated to Building a Better Tomorrow by serving members and the community through leadership, advocacy, and education. The two-day tournament started at 4 p.m. for registration check-in, reception began at 6 p.m., and a mandatory captains meeting was held at 6:30 p.m. On May 28, fishing began at 6:15 a.m., with weigh-ins starting at 12 p.m. The event ended with an awards ceremony at 5:30 p.m.
