Venture Construction Group of Florida (VCGFL) has been selected as a Weather-Ready Nation (WRN) Ambassador™ by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). This initiative is part of NOAA’s mission to save lives and properties by providing critical environmental intelligence, including weather forecasts and warnings. NOAA formally recognizes VCGFL as a partner that is improving the nation’s readiness, responsiveness, and overall resilience against extreme weather, water and climate events.
“As we’ve seen many weather events and natural disasters here in Florida, it’s always important to be prepared. It’s an honor that NOAA recognizes our commitment to weather preparedness, and we’re proud to be a Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador,” said Stephen Shanton, CEO and president of Venture Construction Group of Florida (VCGFL).
The purpose of the WRN program is to strengthen partnerships with external organizations toward building community resilience in the face of increasing vulnerability to extreme weather events. WRN Ambassadors serve an important role in affecting societal change by helping to build a nation that is ready, responsive and resilient to the impacts of natural disasters.
