Proceeds benefit ALS Association Florida Chapter
BOCA RATON, FL– Stephen Shanton, president of Venture Construction Group, hosts a holiday sale event with Kendra Scott to raise money for ALS research. The Kendra Gives Back Party takes place on Dec.10 from 6-9 p.m. at Kendra Scott, Mizner Park at 411 Plaza Real, Boca Raton 33432. The event is open to the public. The Kendra Gives Back Party will donate 20 percent of the proceeds to the ALS Association Florida Chapter on behalf of Shanton. For more information, please call 1-866-459-8351.
“The ALS Association leads the way in research, care services, public education and public policy—giving hope and help to those facing ALS,” said Kim Hanna, executive director of the ALS Association Florida Chapter. “We could not serve our patients and families in Florida to the extent that we do without the help and support of our sponsors like Venture Construction Group of Florida.”
ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), often referred to as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease,” is a fatal neurodegenerative disease that progressively paralyzes its victims, attacking nerve cells and pathways in the brain or spinal cord. Patients are robbed of the ability to walk, eat, speak, and eventually breathe. Upon diagnosis, patients are given just two to five years to live. ALS can strike anyone at any time, and although there is no known cure, recent scientific breakthroughs provide hope for the future. Military veterans are twice as likely to be diagnosed with ALS. The connection is currently unknown.
“We really love getting involved in the community, and creating these partnerships to expand awareness and outreach to the masses, while raising funds for charities like ALS,” says Stephen Shanton, president of Venture Construction Group of Florida.
Giving back to philanthropic charities and helping others is an integral part of the company’s mission.
