“As a business owner, contribution is ingrained in everything my company does. It is our culture. There is always something to give and there are always people who need more. These little girls have endured major tragedy,” says Stephen Shanton, president of Venture Construction Group of Florida.

The Gemma’s Angels Foundation Boca Raton is dedicated to ending domestic violence in honor of Gemma Burlakoff and her fight to save her children. In 2013, Gemma fought heroically in a violent domestic dispute to release her children and was murdered in front of them. Gemma’s Angels Foundation launched to help raise awareness to end domestic violence and support Gemma’s three daughters, left parentless with no financial support.

A major advocate for community giving, Venture Construction Group of Florida has sponsored and donated tens of thousands of dollars to numerous charities and events throughout the state. Last year, company sponsorships and events included the Kendra Scott Gives Back Party To Benefit ALS in Boca Raton; Little Black Dress event for Friends in Pink in Stuart to raise breast cancer awareness, Hurricane and Storm Damage Awareness seminar in Stuart; Walk to Defeat ALS in West Palm Beach; the ARC of Martin County Hurricane Stock Up Party in Stuart; the Jrc Foundation Golf Tournament to Benefit SafeSpace in Palm City; the ARC of Martin County Fishing Tournament in Stuart and throughout the St. Lucie, Jupiter, Palm Beach inlets; the Walk to Defeat ALS in Miami-Dade County; and the Ride to Defeat ALS in Tampa.
