Commercial Production Manager Wins Esteemed Industry Award

NASHVILLE, TN Bobby Ainsworth, commercial production manager at Venture Construction Group of Florida (VCGFL), recently won the Roofing Alliance 2019 Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award. The award was presented to Ainsworth at the National Roofing Contractor Association (NRCA) Annual Convention and International Roofing Expo (IRE) on Feb. 12 in Nashville. The Roofing Alliance MVP Award program celebrates workers who are outstanding employees within their companies and recognizes them for their outstanding performance outside the workplace including dedication, commitment to helping others, charitable deeds, and community involvement.

“Bobby is one of those true gems that’s seen it before, and knows the solution, whatever complex scenario arises. He has extensive hands-on experience that is really hard to find these days. In construction, we work with many moving parts including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, etc. Bobby possesses an expert skillset across the board that is unrivaled. He is a tremendous asset to our team and his problem-solving abilities and background are truly unrivaled. We are really excited that he was recognized with this esteemed award. He truly deserves it,” says Stephen Shanton, CEO, Venture Construction Group of Florida

A native of Texas, Ainsworth is a 4th generation builder who initially learned from his forefathers. His father’s company specialized in residential custom home builds. His grandfather and great-grandfather were carpenters. Ainsworth was on his first construction site when he was 7 years old, removing debris from jobsites and earning a .25 cents daily wage.

Not only did he learn the value of hard work and how to earn money, he learned over the years how to troubleshoot, problem solve, and connect the dots on extremely complex construction projects. He learned how to ask the right questions and collaborate to develop solutions. By the time he was 15, Ainsworth was working nights and weekends. By the age of 17, Ainsworth was running a crew of his own.

“The hands-on knowledge gained in my early work experience while growing up contributed considerably to my level of expertise today. You can really pick up a lot of knowledge watching everyone else,” says Bobby Ainsworth, commercial production manager, Venture Construction Group of Florida.

Ainsworth has been an essential member of the VCFGL team for more than 3 years and has over 38 years of experience in the construction and restoration industry. Bobby holds the NRCA Pro Foreman Certificate, OSHA 30 Certificate, OSHA Safety Awareness Training Certificate, and the First Aid, CPR/AED Certificate.

“Bobby is great with customers and works extremely well under pressure. Those are two traits that are hard to find, especially together. Construction is not always a perfect science, there are sometimes obstacles. He works very well in those situations to come to a resolution, develop a solution and ensure that things are done correctly and everybody is satisfied. Bobby has helped problem solve numerous issues on complex projects, while also working with our OSHA Safety Monitors and managing teams and crews to ensure everyone is safe, every single second,” says Neysa Nordstrom, director of communications/ production manager, Venture Construction Group of Florida.
